Her real name is Sarah Rodriguez. But since the 23-year-old from San Antonio claims to be a werewolf, she goes by the name Wolfie Blackheart. And it seems she has something of a fetish for the heads of dead animals...
Wolfie Blackheart claims to be a werewolf, but says she'd never hurt a dog because she is a canine.
Texas police are investigating the imaginative young werewolf after she admitted to decapitating the head of a dog, then boiling it and mounting it on her bedroom wall.
When San Antonio detectives raided her home, they found her walls smeared with a red liquid her mom says is ketchup. The also found a collection of knives, swords and animal heads, including a coyote, ram and, of course, a dog.
Wolfie claims the dog was already dead when a friend brought it to her. So she chopped of its head, left it outside to drain, that placed it on her trophy shelf of animal heads. After all, nothing makes a better conversation piece than a decapitated dog's head.
She says she would never hurt a live dog because "I am a canine."
But her neighbor, Kathy Silva, thinks the dog is hers. The family took in the stray; it's been missing since January 5.
"My heart pretty much sank," Silva told the San Antonio Express-News, "because when I saw that picture, I said, 'That's Rigsby.' He was the sweetest dog ever."
Dog decapitation would only be a crime in Texas if police discovered its head was cut off before it was dead, which should be easily determined by the medical examiner.
